Fit to race

A short newsflash this time, also because I’m typing this lefthanded. After a check up in hospital yesterday and making some x-ray pictures it revealed that I had broken my collarbone on the 8th of March. During my testing week in Ledenon (F) I had a small crash when I lost my front while steering into a downhill corner. I had visited a doctor on the circuit but he thought nothing was broken. Mind you I rode on the bike again the day after the crash!

Next week I can visit a specialist in the hospital and hopefully he has some positive news about the healing process. Since Scarborough is only 3 weeks away.

Last weekend I had a great visit to the Isle of Man, being part of the ManxGP newcomers visit. We were very warm and kindly received by the club, and shown around the track by Davey Morgan / Stephen Oates / Cal McGahan. Who gave us some very useful tips and tricks. My main goal for 2012 will be riding the ManxGP and hopefully make an impression in the newcomers race.

On Sunday there was a race from the ARA club at Jurby which gave me the chance to practice on the FC Moore Honda 600. The 600 turns out to be a lovely bike and very nice to ride, I soon felt confident on it. Particularly when I was riding with an broken bone in my shoulder!
