IRRC round 4 Terlicko (Cz)

After a huge fuel consumptious journey on Friday, August 26 we arrived in the evening in Terlicko. It is located in the eastern part of the Czech Republic on the border with Poland.

Under tropical temperatures the practices were held and I gained a 27th time. The gearing was still not good and we had electronic problems again. The power commander and quickshifter were removed again and I tested this in the last SBK training. The bike was running fine now although I had to upshift with shutting the throttle a bit. Sadly I heard then that Adrian McFarland had died of his injuries due to a crash in the second practice. Again the cruel and ‘black side’ of road racing showed itself again.

Because all the Irish riders did not start, the grid on Sunday was very thin. I finished both legs in 12th and 13th place, so I have now climbed to the 14th place in the championship. A more detailed report will follow later.
